Institutional Saga Symposium
Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s is hosting a two-day symposium entitled, “Rooted in Hope: Telling our Stories, Living our Mission.” The symposium is free and open to the public.
This event is the grand finale of a generous $40,000 NetVue grant that was used to commission 10 unique stories and five videos about the history of Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s College, the key themes that define the Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s community, and the stories that may have gone untold.
Topics include The Arts, First Generation College Students, The Black Experience at Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s, How the Valley Has Shaped Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s, Women at Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s, Catholic Social Teaching, Hispanic Outreach, How Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s Has Served the Local Community, Immigrants and Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s, and Disability Services.
This symposium starts on the evening of Nov. 14 with a talk from Regina Graham, 2010 alumna and Program Director of DEI at Geisinger. The next day, the symposium will feature several sessions on the key themes of the grant with community representatives, alums, and friends of the College.
